Spendkey has recently integrated an additional language to successfully manage a complex project for a new customer. The project required overhauling and optimising a government item catalogue held within the SAP system, comprised of roughly 90,000 items primarily in Hebrew. The catalogue, which included tangible items and services, had become cluttered with outdated entries, redundant items, and others needing further detail.
The government aimed to both refine the catalogue and establish a consistent management approach. Although most items in the catalogue were in Hebrew, 5% were in English, adding an additional layer of complexity. Tasked by a partner organisation, Spendkey used its platform to extract the Hebrew data, translate it to English, and undergo a detailed process of consolidation, cleansing, enrichment, and classification. After refining, the data was translated back to Hebrew to deliver an optimised government item catalogue.
This project has underlined Spendkey's expertise in handling multilingual datasets and further established its position in catalogue management solutions.
